Legislature Grounds
Edmonton is the capital city of Alberta, where our Members of the Legislative Assembly meet to debate and pass laws in the beautiful Legislature building. The building is open to the public and you can sign up for free guided tours. When the Legislative Assembly is in session, you can sit in the gallery to watch government in action.
The public park surrounding the Legislature has a skating rink, wading pools, fountains, gardens, and lots of room to throw a ball or catch a frisbee. The area around the 'Leg’ is used for special events, such as Canada Day and Bright Nights.
