River Valley

A lot of cities are built near bodies of water. Why? Well, it makes it easier to get something to drink, clean, or cook with. Put a boat in it and you have an instant highway.
These days, we still get our drinking, bathing and cooking water from the North Saskatchewan River, thanks to our great water treatment plant. With the extensive river valley trail system, we can enjoy the beauty along its banks. And you can still put a boat in it and even catch the odd fish. Some people claim there is still gold in the river silt.
So even though we’re not trading beaver pelts and canoeing them across Canada anymore, there’s a lot to take advantage of in the North Saskatchewan River.
