Valley Zoo
Edmonton has plenty of wildlife in the river valley - the usual coyotes and skunks. But elephants? Lemurs? Yes, you can see them all at the Valley Zoo!
You can easily spend an afternoon observing different animals, from reptiles to large mammals. The staff at the zoo work to conserve endangered species, like the red panda.
The zoo is open year-round - there is a winter shelter for most of the animals. And there are volunteer opportunities, if you want to get an inside look!
