Edmonton is a movie-loving town. Multiplex theatres are in some malls, as well as in North and South Edmonton.

Independent film fans can get their fix at a few places in town. The Princess Theatre, built in 1915, and the Garneau Theatre, from the 1940’s, are fully restored theatres with a lot of heart. They play new art house films as well as the occasional classic movie.
