Nothing beats live music. And there are plenty of options, from classical to punk.
The big arena shows are held at Rexall Place (the coliseum) or Commonwealth Stadium. The Winspear Centre for Music is the home of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and hosts many local and international musicians. The Jubilee Auditorium near the University of Alberta hosts the same kinds of shows, as well as musical theatre, ballet, and opera.
