Your City
The City of Edmonton is responsible for providing every day services to Edmontonians. Ever wonder who collects garbage and recycling, drives buses, responds to fire and police emergencies, provides recreational programs, runs swimming pools and arenas, and much more? There are lots of different jobs at the City of Edmonton - even a blacksmith at Fort Edmonton Park!
The City of Edmonton staff are lead by the City Manager and department of General Managers. They make sure City services are run efficiently and effectively.
City Council is elected by the people of Edmonton every three years. The job of City Council is to make decisions on the kinds and levels of service that City workers will provide.
